I will start off by saying my Christmas this year was not all I would like it to be. However I enjoyed it immensely and the reason is the time I spent in the kitchen with my three teen girls as well as my adult son, who joined me in this kitchen to cook. The memories we created is irreplaceable. My son made the carrot juice Jamaican style and as he was making it, I mentioned to him that I want a batch for myself in the juicer with fresh pineapple and ginger, I believe he misunderstood me and thought I was saying that carrots he was chopping for the carrot juice I was going to be making that refreshing juice with, because his immediate response in patois was no sah ( simply mean no way). He then called his sister and she too was like no mommy no, we want original carrot juice. So I explained to them they misunderstood.
Another great memory on Christmas Eve my 18 and 16 year old daughter together made the potato salad, they were so proud of themselves, now as they were peeling and dicing the potatoes, I was sitting in the tv room watching a Christmas movie but they way they began to interact with each other, acting all goofy I became more focus on them.
That night My 16 year old, also asked me to season the curry chicken and that she wanted me to help me to cook the curry chicken on Christmas Day, which she did
Here is the christmas dinner my family enjoyed. Jamaican Style as they call it.
It includes oxtails
Rice n Kidney beans
Kale with smoke turkey
They enjoyed, now they will leave me alone to watch Christmas movies one of my favorite thing to do , during this holiday, I will probably be watching the movie Love Actually for the 100th time.
