SLOW COOK PORK CHOPS AND GRAVY

My children are big fanatics of pork chops, but I have always cook it two ways, either jerk or fried. And they love those . And my children are funny, they do not take well to when they love something I try to change it up on them, but that is exactly what I did and they love it. I  love cooking extra on Sundays, either so my son who comes over on Sunday’ s for his momma’s home cooking can have lunch for work the next day, as well as my 18 year old can take to her part time job as well, Sometimes I even have enough left overs that on Monday I do not have to cook When I purchased this pack of pork chops

DIRECTIONS

In a large sauce pan , heat oil on medium high heat. Brown  pork chops on each side, till you get a slight golden brown color. ( about 3 minutes on each side) layer pork chops in slow cooker. In same pan you just brown the pork chops in, without  cleaning it add butter, let melt , when melted, add minced garlic and chicken broth, using a  wooden spoon stir up all the caked on pork chops from the pan, bring to a simmer, -pour over pork chops and cook on low 6-7 hours, or on high 4-5 hours. Remove pork chops from slow cooker and place on a plate or something. In a sauce pan, saute onions with 1 tbsp canola oil , pour juice from slow cooker, add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, bring to a slow simmer about 5 minutes, in the meantime add corn starch and 1/8 cup water and mix until cornstarch is dissolved, pour into gravy, stir and simmer another 2 minutes. Serve gravy over pork chops. I serve here with rice and kidney beans, but you can choose white rice, mashed or baked potatoes.
